Self-Care For Educators
Making time on a regular basis to plan and attend to self-care can greatly decrease stress for educators.
It can be difficult for educators, who are often over-tasked, underpaid, and under-resourced, to prioritize self-care. But doing so is important and beneficial, both for educators and their students.
Teaching is an emotional labor.
Here are some ways for educators to cope, care for themselves, and prevent burnout.
●Control the Controllable. What can you control during these trying times?
●Carve out time for Self-Care to maintain YOUR Mental Health. Be intentional.
●Establish Office Hours. Your doctor, lawyer, nor your hairstylist are available 24 hours a day. Clear boundaries are good for your mental health.
